I have a fairly new 2 or 3 years old comfort glow wall heater vent free.
Comfort glow wall heater will not stay lit.
The ignitor works great the flame is blue except.
Tmbrandish said that the flame i saw was just a pilot light and that it is always on but i saw my grate grandpa go and turn it off.
Located in my grate grand parent s basement in louisville ky.
A partial blockage however may allow the burner to light but will not provide enough fuel to keep it lit.
Gas wall heaters whether vented or unvented can supply enough heat to warm a small or medium sized room and they can operate with propane or natural gas.
Locate the piezo ignitor button on the front of the heater base assembly.
Piezo ignitors work without electric current.
The gas line is what provides fuel to the burner to keep it lit.
The room is wrapped in a blanket of comfort as the air is warmed.
If your burner lights for a short time but then goes out you may have a blockage in the gas valve.
There is no solution for this.
Blue flame heaters comfort glow vent free vent less blue flame convection heaters work much like a central heating system.
Check your gas supply.
If you are trying to use a vent free gas appliance at a location higher than 4500 feet the pilot will not stay lit as the air is too thin and there is not enough oxygen for proper operation.
If you have hooked the heater up to the wrong gas type you may have this problem.
A complete blockage often prevents the burner from lighting at all.
I have cleaned it with compressed air and a vaccuum replaced the thermocouple twice.
If it will not stay lit this could be a problem with the gas valve the thermocouple it could be a gas pressure problem or control if this model has one.
Thank you for your question.
In case i screwed it too tight the first time but i cannot figure out the problem.
How to troubleshoot gas wall heaters.
Unfortunately without the model number i will not be able to provide specific information.
I know it s frustrating when the heater stops working.
These ignitors only require pressure to get electricity.
